I know, I’ve teased you with this recipe before. I finally got around to making it. I ended up using kale AND chard, since the one bunch of chard didn’t equal a pound. This is from the fall section of Simply in Season. But kale and chard are great all year round!
This was one of the first recipes I made when I first bought Simply in Season, and it remains one of my favorites. I just love the combination of spices.
I cheaped out and used regular walnuts instead of black walnuts for this recipe from Simply in Season. But I did get a chance to actually use my Cooks Illustrated online subscription because it didn’t include a recipe for the frosting. It turned out great!
When I was typing up the remaining recipes from Simply in Season, I came across this recipe and decided to try to make homemade mac & cheese.
