Nothing says spring in Michigan like asparagus! When I was growing up I had an Uncle who had an asparagus farm, and it was always a treat to have fresh picked asparagus for dinner. My dad always boiled it with a little salt and we'd put butter on top. Nowadays my Dad grows it in his hard and I'm more likely to grill or roast it, but it's still one of my favorite springtime treats. It's healthy, too!
