If you’re like me, meal planning isn’t something that is enjoyable or comes easily. You might have seen our new advertiser, though, and wondered what Simple Meal Planning is all about.
First, it’s a recipe book. You can import recipes from around the web or enter them on your own, manually.
Secondly, it’s a meal planner. You can drag and drop recipes to a calendar, adjust servings, and even export to other calendar programs.
Then, it’s a grocery list maker. It will take the ingredients from the meal planner and categorize them to make a shopping list (will even include the cost if you’ve entered that information).
Finally, you can access the list right on your smart phone!
Sounds cool, huh? What’s even more cool is that Plan to Eat is giving away a yearly subscription to TWO lucky readers of The Local Cook!
Three Ways to Enter
1. Comment below, answering the question “What is your biggest meal planning challenge?”
2. “Like” The Local Cook on Facebook, come back here and leave a SEPARATE comment saying that you did (or if you already do).
3. Subscribe to email updates from The Local Cook and leave a SEPARATE comment saying that you did (or tell me if you already do – Google Readers counts too) .
Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, January 18, Thursday January 19, 2012, midnight EST and winners will be chosen randomly by the plugin And The Winner Is . . .

Finding something everyone will eat
Taking the time to actually plan is my biggest challenge. Too often I’m thinking of something easy at 4:00.

Our biggest challenge is staying on budget! We usually go to the store once and spend the amount we’re supposed to, but then we always end up stopping by the store throughout the week and spending way too much money!!
Keeping in budget, and/or too many left overs!
