This summer I made stir fry at least once a week. I love how easy it is to use up vegetables that way!
Ideally I would use chicken from local farms or venison from the freezer, but sometimes I didn’t get around to stopping by the farmers market or thawing out the venison. In those situations, I would go to the store and often wonder what the best alternative was. When NatureRaised Farms contacted me to review their product, I was glad to learn that their fresh tray packed chicken has been certified to Step 2 of the Global Animal Partnership’s 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Standards program.
The chicken itself was excellent. I purchased the tenderloins at a local Walmart and used it in one of my stir fry recipes. It wasn’t too fatty and held its texture well through the cooking process (a lot of grocery store chicken doesn’t!)

Wow, it’s great to learn about the Global Animal Partnership. I hadn’t been aware of this program before — will be very helpful for me in making wise choices about meat when I choose to eat it.
One of my favorite chicken recipes is called “Mango Mojito Chicken” — it cooks up in a skillet quickly, includes great veggies like peppers (not to mention the mango fruit!), and has mint thrown in to make it “mojito-esque.”
