This is seriously my favorite way to have mixed greens yet! I am definitely acquiring a taste for the bitters, and this pizza was fabulous.
I cheated and started off with two medium whole wheat crusts that were already prepared. I don’t remember the brand.
Then I added homemade Alfredo sauce.
Topped with mozzarella cheese, sauteed mixed greens, mushrooms, sliced tomatoes (obviously not local but DH really wanted them), and a few slices of prosciutto. Added a bit more cheese and baked for about 20 minutes.
Can we say DELICIOUS? The bitterness of the greens, the garlicky Alfredo sauce, the textures of the mushrooms & tomatoes, and the saltiness of the prosciutto combined to make the best pizza I’ve had in a long, long time. Plus it used up a whole lotta greens–gotta love that!
