Before I jump in to this week’s plan, I thought I should share how it went last week. I discovered I was WAY too ambitious. At the last minute I decided I could work out after work, not realizing that by the time I get home from work, exercise, and make dinner, there is no way I have time for any extra organizing or housekeeping chores. The solution?
As much as it pains me, I think I’m going to have to get up before work and exercise after all. I just don’t have enough hours in the day to do otherwise. I ended up making breakfast for dinner a couple of times, and caught up on workouts and organizing on the weekend, which is something I wanted to avoid. So what follows is hopefully a more realistic plan for this week:
Menu Plan
Breakfasts: Homemade bread with peanut butter or steel cut oats.
Snacks: Oranges, grapefruit, Skinny Cows
Dinners: (Check back later for recipes)
Monday – Eating out as I have a West Michigan blogger meeting.
Tuesday – Peanut Chicken Cabbage Soup
Wednesday – Grilled venison with white cheddar parsnips and potatoes
Thursday – Carrot-ginger soup and the Tilapia Citrus Couscous Salad that I didn’t get around to making last week
Friday – date night
Weekend – we’ll see
Workout Schedule
Note: I’m using the RevAbs workout DVDs
Monday – Power Intervals (30 minutes)
Tuesday – Fire Up Your Abs (40 minutes)
Wednesday – Total Strength & Mercy Abs (60 minutes)
Thursday – Power Intervals (30 minutes)
Friday – Fire Up Your Abs (40 minutes)
Saturday – Power Intervals (30)
Sunday – rest
Homekeeping Plan
I need to get back to the basics. I’m going to nail down my morning and before bed routines and shine my sink. Check out FlyLady for details.

Love that you are combining the menu, workout, and organizing into one plan.

Thanks! I made a planner that also incorporates them but I keep forgetting to upload it 🙁

Great tips! I need to plan on getting up early to exercise, too. Thanks so much for sharing at my blog!

How did you do on Monday since you ate out? I haven’t ate out yet, kind of avoiding that until I hit a 10lb weight loss. I love your variety in dvds, I need to go to the store and pick a few cardio ones up to start with. How do you feel after the work outs? Hope your week is going good. Look forward to reading next week’s.

I had a Mediterranean salad and hot tea, so it went well. Have not been working out as planned, though. I seem to get sidetracked with blogging projects. Hoping to get better now that I just received The Firm Express DVDs to review – they’re only 20 minutes long.

Can’t wait to hear more about the DVDs. I know what you mean on getting sidetracked though. I only get to it lately because I’ve made it my routine after girls wake up and leave. Works since Little A watches his shows as I’m doing it, otherwise he’d try getting on the treadmill. I haven’t used a video this week, hoping to try one out today but still want to get some new ones as I’m sure these are scratched. Let me know what you think of the videos.
