Earlier this year, as part of Lent, I shared little ways in which I was trying to nourish my body, mind, and soul. I have found that practice worthwhile to continue.
It’s the little things that make life so rich. Sure, it’s tempting to read social media and wish that you had time to make that cute thing on Pinterest, or go on a Caribbean vacation like that facebook friend from high school. But you know what? Sitting on our new deck that DH and I built ourselves with a glass of wine in one hand, listening to the elderberries drop from the tree onto the ground, smelling the bee balm flowers, and watching our Iggies (above) on a pleasant summer evening is priceless.
So, I was super excited to learn about Olivari’s “Year of Little” campaign. To celebrate the little things, they are taking the year to share little gifts and thoughts. Things like recipe cards
or “how to” sheets
and lots of other artwork, ideas, tips, and coupons. (Incidentally, I did try some of their olive oil–yum! Olive oil is a staple around my house in the summer, from stir fry to dressings).
It’s amazing how much easier life becomes when I choose to focus on the simple things; to enjoy the little things; and to live mindfully. So, thank you to Olivari for providing a fun way to help us remember.
