Yesterday DH and I had a date night at Amore, one of our favorite restaurants. It’s Beer Week in Grand Rapids, so we got a special 5 course paired beer dinner.
The photos didn’t turn out so well, so you’ll have to take my word for it that the food looked just as wonderful as it tasted. We both started out with the mushrooms, but from there we ended up varying what we chose. Here are the courses that I chose: funghi, finocchio, fagioli, diavola, and the tiramisu. The beers paired with each course amazingly well. Even though the tasting menu portions were smaller, I was stuffed!
DH and I love dinners like this – it’s stuff we’d never make at home, and we are able to relax in between courses. It’s a great way to unwind and spend a leisurely evening together.
