When I was a senior in high school, I worked at Burger King. It is slightly ironic because my name is Wendy (and yes, I got comments about that all the time!). One day a woman came in and wanted to speak with our manager, because she felt we should do away with the plastic ketchup packets and install ketchup dispensers because of the environment. This was the early 90s, so green was not quite as popular back then (remember AquaNet?)

I am itchin' to get back into the kitchen! When I look at my blog I think my goodness, I haven't posted in awhile. I mean recipes. Just so you know I'm not slacking, I thought I'd provide a glimpse into the past two weeks:
Just a quick note to let you know I’m in New Orleans! I hope to resume regularly scheduled blogging when I return on Wednesday. I have lots of root vegetables and a huge basket of purple potatoes to cook when I get home so you’ll get to see what I make with them. Happy cooking!
