Place meat and onions in a baking dish or crock pot.
Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over meat and onions. Cover and bake at 325F for 2-3 hours or put everything in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Shred the meat with two forks. The meat will soak up more of the juices as it is shredded.
