When you start to learn about cooking, and chefs, and all the stuff that goes along with becoming a foodie, Mark Bittman is one of the names you'll start to read about. I've never been one to like things or people because they are popular. But when I got a review copy of The Food Matters Cookbook: 500 Revolutionary Recipes for Better Living, I started to see what all the fuss was about.
I love Charlie Brown movies. They bring back such memories. The other day I was watching The Great Pumpkin and was transported back several years to when I was a little girl, watching it at my Grandma's house while eating popcorn. Halloween has many special memories for me.
Oh, Simply in Season, how I love you. I'm sorry I've been neglecting you lately. It's just that the few recipes left aren't at the top of my "can't wait to make" pile, such as the one for Seasoned Breadcrumbs.
Note: I'm re-posting this article from last year. My last pickup was yesterday, and the feeling was bittersweet. On the one hand, I'm glad for a break. On the other, I'm really going to miss the weekly rhythm of picking up the product.
