Spread the berries in a greased/floured 9x9 inch pan.

Combine the sugar and flour and sprinkle over the berries.

Cream together butter and sugar; mix in egg and vanilla.

Combine the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk. Drop batter by spoonfuls over the fruit (all the fruit may not be covered). Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 30-40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
