Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside.

In a separate bowl, beat butter until creamy with an electric beater. Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in remaining ingredients.

Add milk to bowl alternately with dry ingredients, mixing until smooth. Pour batter into greased and floured 8x4 inch loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven at 325F for 55-60 minutes. Let stand in pan for 5 minutes and remove to wire rack.

While loaf is still warm, mix together powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small gowl and slowly pour glaze over the warm loaf.
