In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.

Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly.

Combine yogurt and egg, then add to dry ingredients. Mix briefly. Pour into a greased 8x8 baking pan and bake in preheated oven at 350F for 30 minutes; or drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheets and bake in preheated oven at 400F for 12-15 minutes. Serve warm with sliced fresh fruit and milk.
